Scots Guards receive freedom of town
The Scots Guards in full ceremonial uniform were granted the freedom of Wantage town in a parade and ceremony that took place in Market Square under the statue of King Alfred and attended by their regimental colonel, HRH the Duke of Kent. The event was organised by former Mayor, Jim Sibball, and the spectacle was enjoyed by crowds of onlookers lining the Market Square and high vantage points.
